About Us
Carolina Ophthalmology was founded in 1980 and since that time has grown to become one of the foremost ophthalmic centers in the country with offices located in Hendersonville, Asheville, Skyland, Columbus, and satellite locations in Waynesville and Spruce Pine, NC. Collectively, our doctors have over one hundred (150) years of experience serving the people of Western North Carolina, only one of the many reasons why people choose the “Carolina Ophthalmology Advantage.”
All of our facilities house the latest state-of-the-art equipment available today including lasers, ultrasounds, and computer enhanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Carolina Ophthalmology offers the most technically advanced eye care available including Laser Cataract Surgery, Small Incision No-Stitch Cataract surgery (offering the newest premium lens implants), Glaucoma Services, Retina Services, Corneal Services, and the post-operative management of LASIK patients.
We perform outpatient eye surgery at several separate hospital outpatient surgery centers located throughout western North Carolina, including Pardee Hospital, Western Carolina Surgery Center, and Asheville Surgery Center at Mission Hospital. We also operate at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, located in Spruce Pine, NC. We maintain in-house surgical suites where many minor procedures are performed right in our office. Our centers are staffed by more than seventy highly trained professionals. All of the doctors are board certified within their area of expertise. Rigorous training, excellence in surgical procedures and a continuous search for new and better eye treatments is part of our heritage.
